my story
SNAPSHOT
Award winning
Throughout the last decade, my ideas and work have won multiple awards from Golin’s “Unternship” where I travelled to Earth’s happiest countries, to TTG Media’s 30 under 30 recognition and most recently the World Nomads Visual Storytelling Award, selected out of 4,500+ global photographers and filmmakers.
PURPOSE DRIVEN
The common threads that bind my unconventional story together are purpose and passion. I’m passionate about using the power of storytelling as a force for good, travelling responsibly and telling stories in an ethical and sustainable way.
3d storytelling
Award winning photography, film and writing, providing you with every option to maximise content production and find the perfect balance to tell your story in the most effective way.
MArketing Expertise
Blending creative skills with my strong marketing background, I pride myself on creating impactful work that thrives at the intersection of art and commerce, delivering the highest ROI for my clients.
collaboration over competition
One of my core philosophies which has led to an extensive creative network that makes no project too big. I regularly work with world class strategists and creatives to bring to life full marketing campaigns, wider content strategies, Netflix standard documentaries and more.
Diversity equals creativity
I learnt early on that diversity provides new perspectives, ideas and approaches. I champion POC representation in the spaces I work, in particular behind the lens, which is often overlooked within the creative industry.
FULL PICTURE
I’m Les, a professional photographer, filmmaker, and writer, on a mission to use the power of storytelling as a force for good.
Based in London but rarely home, I have a deep love for purposeful adventure which has naturally guided my creative career. Specialising in travel, lifestyle, and editorial imagery, I work with clients ranging from Fujifilm, Intrepid, Patagonia to the London Stock Exchange, amongst others.
Over the last 8 years, I’ve been honoured to have my ideas and work recognised globally through various awards. The most recent being the World Nomads Visual Storytelling Award - which I was humbled to receive out of 4,500+ global photographers and filmmakers.
Looking back on my journey to get to this stage, it’s been an unconventional global adventure — one defined by three pivotal experiences that continue to shape not just my craft but also my life itself:
travelling to Earth’s happiest countries
Image: Brainstorming the winning idea
In 2017, I won a trailblazing internship competition that funded my idea of exploring Earth’s happiest countries to create an overarching thesis on happiness.
Over 12 weeks, I immersed myself within the local cultures of Norway, Denmark, Costa Rica and Colombia to discover their secrets to happiness. This experience sparked wanderlust and laid the foundations of my creative skills through weekly commissions to photograph, film, write and share my findings.
Co-founding a social good project in Asia
In 2018, I joined Cuecard Productions in South East Asia and co-founded the flagship ‘Cuecard project’. Here we utilised short form video and social media to shine a light on underrepresented communities to inspire new connections and understanding.
This experience taught me invaluable lessons on how to successfully maximise the output from finite resources and adapt in the field to get game-changing results.
Brand Shoots: From the Amazon to Antarctica
In 2019, I joined Intrepid Travel - the world’s largest travel B Corp. I took on dual roles within marketing and production, and it was here I truly honed my visual storytelling craft over 12 international shoots in 4 years.
From capturing charity treks in Morocco, working with journalists on sustainability initiatives in the Amazon, to huge global brand shoots on the frozen frontier of Antarctica. In 2022, I was honoured to be included on the travel industries prestigious 30 Under 30 list for my achievements.
These once in a life time adventures have provided me with a plethora of invaluable experiences and developed my distinct approach to visual storytelling.
Defined by my storytelling first lens, I thrive at creating beautiful, thumb-stopping imagery that sits perfectly at the intersection of art and commerce -delivering the highest ROI for my clients.
Beyond my commercial work, I’m passionate about responsible travel, the great outdoors and championing representation within these spaces. This commitment has organically led to recent collaborations with organisations such as the RSPB and All The Elements who share the same mission to diversify these spaces.
Writing this in 2025, I hope to collaborate with more value aligned businesses and continue using the power of storytelling as a force for good.
